NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – There was a sold-out crowd Monday night at the T.J. Martell Honors Gala in Nashville.

The eighth annual fundraiser was held at the Omni Hotel, and five Nashville leaders and celebrities were honored for their outstanding contributions.
“I don’t take it for granted. It’s a wonderful award and especially this family has done some wonderful things for cancer research. I’m glad I can be a part of that,” Rogers said.The honorees include long-time attorney Aubrey Harwell, who received the Spirit of Nashville award, and country music legend Kenny Rogers, who was given the Tony Martell Lifetime Entertainment Achievement award.

Money raised Monday will go toward cancer, leukemia and AIDs research.
