The name of the salon, Sui Generia – it’s Latin, meaning unique.
“I got my cosmetology license in high school with Arlington ISD’s career program,” recalls Tiarah. “I went into this type of business because I always had an interest in style and fashion. The more I learned about the scientific side of hair, the more interested I became. I quickly realized this is more than just doing somebody’s hair. It’s altering how someone currently views and feels about themselves.”
And to care the way Tiarah does – that’s unique. As unique as the fabulous hairstyles she gives to her clients.
“I offer silk presses, up dos, twists/braids, color, and natural hair curly styles,” enthuses this hair artist. Previously being a stylist at Huetiful Salon in Arlington for about seven years before opening her own beauty salon under the unique name of Sui Generis, that’s where she learned “a lot of my skills with textured hair.”
A talented person who gets into the details, she explains, “The pink lemon in my logo represents the theme of my salon. A strong presence of fresh and fun in a compressed size. We welcome all, strive to make a difference, and we’re always learning and growing.”
With nine years in the business under her fashionable belt and many more to come, Tiarah radiates a sense of knowing herself that is inspiring to be around. “That is where my true passion lies, having a positive impact on my clients.”
