Queendom Aesthetics Celebrates Women’s Month with an empowering and philanthropic Campaign
NEW ORLEANS, LA, March 04, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ — The month of March marks the commemoration of International Women’s Month, where women are emboldened and celebrated annually. Brands nationwide use this annual opportunity to highlight women’s contributions to society. This year New Orleans’s #1 vegan black women-owned skincare brand, Queendom Aesthetics, takes a bold approach to celebrating International Women’s Month by coming to you, woman to woman.
Usually, that phrase will shake a room, but contrary to popular belief, “Woman to Woman” is not about relationships or gossip but women’s empowerment and philanthropy. The term “Woman to Woman” has a notorious connotation today, as it’s generally known as the preface to bad news regarding one’s spouse or partner’s wrongdoings.
To celebrate Women’s History Month Queendom Aesthetics will give “Woman to Woman” a new meaning by dismantling false narratives about women created on social media, promoting more collaboration over competition in women of color, and uplifting our teenage girls in underserved communities who lack visibility of a positive environment. To highlight the importance of self-love and sisterhood, the company will release “Coming to You as a Woman” affirmation videos featuring a few of the most game-changing, inspirational women nationwide.
The work continues beyond there. Queendom Aesthetics is donating 10% of net proceeds from any product purchased during March to Daughters Beyond Incarceration (DBI) to demonstrate its commitment to uplifting women further. DBI is a nonprofit dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty and crime by advocating for girls with incarcerated dads and building strong parent-to-child relationships through public education, leadership development, and implementing policy change.
“As the daughter of a formerly incarcerated mother, Queendom’s CEO Melissa Odum empathizes with these young women and understands the importance of supporting them to the fullest. Growing up my Mother Spent my entire life in prison. Twenty-five years plus; I’m Thirty-Three years old now. All my friends had their mothers but me. I questioned why I didn’t have mine. I didn’t understand the dynamics of my life or upbringing.” Melissa expressed this on her Instagram to her community.
Queendom Aesthetics wants everyone to feel like queens and to know they are loved, and that’s why the Woman to Woman campaign was created.
