LOS ANGELES, CA, April 05, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ — Seoul Mobility Show 2023, organized by the Seoul Mobility Show Committee (hereinafter the “Committee,” Director Nam-hoon Kang, President of the Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association) and sponsored by the South Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Ministry of Environment, and Goyang City Hall, will be held at Exhibition Halls 1 through 5 at the First Exhibition Center at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi-do, for ten days, from March 31st (Friday) to April 9th (Sunday).

The theme of the Show this year is “sustainable and smart mobility revolution,” welcoming 163 companies and institutions in three sectors, namely Hardware, Software, and Service, from 12 countries. The size of the exhibition area this year is 53,541㎡, up more than 100% from that of Seoul Mobility Show 2021, and the number of companies and institutions participating has also increased more than 60%.

A total of 65 companies will be participating as exhibitors in the Hardware sector, which is divided into Automakers, Auto Parts, New Mobility, and Tuning/Camping/Leisure. Of these, the Automaker category will feature 12 Korean and foreign automobile brands, showcasing a total of 21 newly released vehicles, including 8 world premiere vehicles, 4 Asia premiere vehicles, and 9 Korea premiere vehicles, as well as 10 concept vehicles. Also, 6 green vehicle brands and 3 two-wheeled vehicle brands will be joining to showcase their products and services.

As for the New Mobility category, which has been added to the show to emphasize its key role as a convergence and integration expo, 9 companies will showcase their new mobility products, including robotics, UAM (Urban Air Mobility), and PAV (Personal Air Vehicle). 22 companies will participate in the Auto Parts category, exhibiting future mobility platforms, EV charging infrastructure, and aftermarket parts. A total of 13 companies will be joining the Tuning/Camping/Leisure category.

The Software sector, divided into Mobility Tech, Mobility Institution, and Mobility Incubation, will consist of 50 companies and institutions. Of these, the Mobility Incubation category seeks to discover promising technologies developed by startups and offer them business opportunities, inviting 12 startups to display a wide variety of technologies in this year’s Show. A total of 33 companies and institutions falls in the Service category, with 15 companies and institutions including overseas government agencies, universities, and associations joining in the Other category.

A variety of additional events will be held during the show, including the Display-Mobility Day (April 4th), Future Air Mobility Conference (April 6th), and the International Automobile GHG Evaluation Symposium (April 7th), which are organized with the goal of sharing the latest trends in the mobility industry and presenting a blueprint for future direction of mobility technology.

The number of categories and recipients for the Seoul Mobility Awards, which discovers and highlights emerging companies and technologies, has also been expanded. The Awards will honor companies in three categories this year, namely Mobility Hardware, Mobility Software, and Mobility Tech. After a thorough review, 12 companies have advanced to the finals, with 4 companies nominated for each category. The Committee will host a final contest for these nominees on April 5th (Wednesday), one day before the Awards ceremony takes place on April 6th (Thursday).

Seoul Mobility Show 2023 will include an extensive list of both online and offline activities that are designed to surpass the boundaries of space. The “e-Mobility Test Drive,” where participants will get a chance to test out personal mobility technology, e-motorcycles and e-bikes. A traffic safety event will be held indoors, in addition to the mobility test drives hosted by automaker brands such as Renault Korea Motors, Mercedes-Benz, and Genesis.
