Gold Award For Community Design Highlights Multiple Accolades In National Competitions
IRVINE, CA, March 01, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ — Parasol Park in Irvine, California has earned five new honors for community design and homebuyer outreach in two of homebuilding’s most prestigious and competitive national competitions. Judges of the Best In American Living Awards (BALA) named FivePoint’s third Great Park Neighborhood a Gold Award winner for design/planning of a single-family community of 100 homes or more. The Nationals bestowed a Gold on Parasol Park’s radio campaign and Silver Awards for its welcome center, signage and landscape design.
Winners in both programs were celebrated in January as part of the International Builders Show (IBS). Held this year in Orlando, Florida, IBS is the annual conference and exposition of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).
Sponsored by NAHB’s National Sales and Marketing Council, The Nationals received 1335 entries from across North America, with judges evaluating all elements of neighborhood design and planning; new home marketing and advertising; and individual professional achievement.
Also sponsored by NAHB and in its 34th year, BALA emphasizes new home and community design and planning, with judges evaluating architectural excellence of detached and attached homes and overall community quality. BALA administrators said judges reviewed a notably competitive field of more than 450 submissions across multiple categories.
“Parasol Park’s architecture is elegant and classic, with well-conceived colors, details and entry elements adding to its luxury character,” said BALA judge Victor Mirontschuk, FAIA, Chairman of EDI International. “Outdoor spaces are fantastic, as you see with rooftop decks designed as enjoyable outdoor living rooms–and with the park’s terraced plaza and intriguing shade structures. We were delighted to honor Parasol Park with a BALA Gold Award!”
As the third of the Great Park Neighborhoods, Parasol Park is part of a renowned master-developed series that is revitalizing the de-commissioned Marine Corps Air Station El Toro base. Priced from the high $500,000s, Parasol Park’s upscale design collections include detached and attached home choices for first-time buyers through empty nester households.
Parasol Park has sold 590 of its 727 homes, with three of its 10 collections sold out. Just a few homes are available at Beacon Park, while Pavilion Park, the first Great Park Neighborhood, achieved sellout two years ago.
Parasol Park, Beacon Park and Pavilion Park have combined for some 70 honors for excellence in design, planning and marketing. Recognition programs include Gold Nugget Awards, The Nationals, SoCal Awards and Best In American Living Awards (BALA).
