LOS ANGELES, CA, October 15, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ — RSI Productions, L.L.C. (formerly Render Squad Industries, L.L.C.), has announced that the premiere of its documentary series “Black Business LA” has been postponed until December 12, 2022.
This postponement is necessary in order to evaluate and capture how each business has grown, dealt with challenges, and enjoyed rewards and successes in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.
In addition, this delay allowed the production team to launch an equity-based crowdfunding campaign on September 26, 2022 to raise the remaining post-production funding as the project has grown in ways that could not have been anticipated, in that there are now a series of seven (7) episodes instead of a single film. The funding also enables the company to expand production in other major US cities, such as Chicago, Washington DC, and Houston. This campaign launch was achieved through the formation of Black Business Series, L.L.C., a Los Angeles-based production company that produces documentaries about Black American businesses.

Film producer Melvin Graham observed that there was a lack of Black entrepreneurs in California, specifically in Los Angeles, and those few in existence struggled to access capital. Further investigation revealed that Los Angeles was experiencing a Black economic crisis. “Black Business LA”, the first documentary series from the Black Business Series, L.L.C. entity, is a documentary series that highlights the real-time solutions that Black Americans in Los Angeles have developed to build markets and illustrates their perseverance. As a result of these stories and experiences, in the documentary series, entrepreneurship is presented as a way to counter the economic crisis facing Black Americans and narrow the racial wealth gap… These stories will also serve to motivate those just starting their entrepreneurial journey as well as provide resources for those who have already begun.
Filming for Black Business LA takes place in several locations throughout Los Angeles County. In each episode, stunning visuals provide a unique perspective on Black business.
