Founded and managed by Dr. Uma Ananth, a leading gynecologist who recently retired, CWC has participated in more than 100 clinical trials over the last 17 years. “The addition of CWC to the Aventiv family dramatically expands the company’s footprint in the Columbus community and places Aventiv as a national leader in Women’s Health Research,” states Dr. Samir Arora, President and Medical Director of Aventiv Research. “We’ll be able to enhance our current capabilities by making clinical trials in women’s research more accessible to patients while improving enrollment.” The Ohio based organization specializes in phase I-IV pharmaceutical, device, and diagnostic clinical trials in a variety of therapeutic areas, operating in three states with five independent research sites.
Aventiv’s Women’s Health Research is located in Columbus on the lower level of Comprehensive Women’s Care at 3600 Olentangy River Road, Building A, adjacent to OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital.
The new unit is led by Dr. Sarah Artman, Board-Certified gynecologist, whose research with Aventiv has included the study of a wide range of women’s health concerns. “I’m thrilled that we’re affiliating with Comprehensive Women’s Care, a practice long known for innovative and excellent care for women. Dr. Anita Somani and her staff have been very welcoming,” adds Artman. “This partnership allows us to offer women access to new treatments for both the common and the more difficult gynecologic problems.
