And celebrating “A Half Century of Sculpture” with Salvatore Zagami – A fifty year exhibit of the Life Career of one of Fort Lauderdale's most notable sculptors.
“As we hope that every Artist expresses from soul, deduction and life long experiences, Zagami has been true to his inner self. His years as a teacher is clearly exemplified in his Art: He beckons us to look and observe. He breaks us out of unconsciousness. He demands we question the world around us by creating thought provoking works. Whether or not you are on the same aesthetic blueprint, Zagami’s concepts make you question man’s being. His sculptures utilizing, stone, ceramic, wood, metal, all come together to ask you to question 'life itself' rather than admiring and looking at Art as 'décor.' This is the hallmark of a true Artist," says Laurence Gartel | digital artist.
The 2018 Fair will be presented alongside artDIALOGUE – a series of artist talks that allow attendees to deepen their knowledge of various artists, the local art market and the future of the art world. In addition, the series offers attendees access to the thinking of important artworld players – artists, curators, critics and collectors – who offer their unique perspectives on producing, collecting and exhibiting art; and artAUTO – a featured collection of the best works of art on four wheels – with the display and sale of a vast range of some of the world's most exotic and rare automobiles.
The (invitation-only) Vernissage Preview takes place on Wednesday January 24 from 3pm – 7pm and the Vernisage opening night takes place Wednesday, January 24, 7–10 p.m. Public Admission to the fair is Thursday, January 25 – Sunday, January 28 (for hours please visit artftlauderdale.com).
